The Italian Confederation of Music Therapy Schools and Associations (CONFIAM) was established in Naples in 1994, with the aim of confederating the largest number of associations on the national territory in order to open a debate and reach a common project on
- the basic criteria for music therapy training;
- the definition of the professional figure and of a code of ethics;
- the development of research;
- the realisation of events for the growth of Italian music therapy;
- the creation of paper and telematic organs for the circulation of information.
